Three-day event brings together growers, researchers, and industry partners to explore sustainability at every level
The Potato Sustainability Alliance (PSA) is set to convene its 2025 Summer Symposium from July 15 to 17 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. This annual gathering, dedicated exclusively to sustainability in the potato industry, will bring together growers, processors, researchers, and allied industry partners from across North America.

Agenda Highlights
- July 15: The event kicks off with a Welcome Reception at The Holman Grand Hotel from 5:30 to 7:00 PM AST, offering attendees an opportunity to connect in an informal setting.
- July 16: A full day of sessions at The Culinary Institute of Canada, starting at 8:00 AM AST, will cover:
- Variety Development and Selection: Exploring how breeding choices impact sustainability across the value chain.
- Pollinator Influence: Discussing the role of pollinators in sustainable potato production and PSA’s initiatives in this area.
- Allied Industry Panel: Insights from industry partners on sustainable solutions for potato farming.
- Membership Sector Breakouts: Member-only discussions on current issues and strategies within PSA sectors.
- July 17: The symposium concludes with a morning of collaborative activities and discussions, details of which will be provided to attendees.
